MISS LESLIE

BIOGRAPHY

Miss Leslie and Her Juke-Jointers play honky tonk counu)T music \Vith a 50s and 60s flair. This group is creating buzz \Vith their music they describe as "Country music \Vith a hardwood floor sound". Combining original material along with obscure country tunes that they have unearthed from the 50s and 60s, the band opens up new sounds in a retro honkytonk setting.
Leslie Lindley sings a gutsy, belting lead that has been compared to the likes of Patsy Cline, Leona Williams and Connie Smith. While Miss Leslie & Her J uke-J ointers are a relatively new group on the scene, the band has played professionally \Vith nationally touring acts. Ricky Davis played for many years with Gary P Nunn and Dale Watson and is the steel player on most of Dale Watson's recordings. Ricky has also played with many Texas artists su ch as: Tommy Alverson; Davin James; Larry Joe Taylor; The Derailers and Asleep at the Wheel and TV and radio commercials and movies su ch as ·www.monster.com. Bud Light, Kodak, Lonestar, TexasLotto, "A Scanner Darkly" and many more. Ric Ranlirez has played upright bass with' Two Tons of Steel, Terri Hendrix and Wayne "The Train" Hancock.
Original tunes mainly come from Miss Leslie. Jake Jenkins, who wrote most of the material for Rebel Records' Karl Shiflett and the Big Counu)T Show when he toured with them, also wrote most of the songs on the "Honky Tonk Revival" CD.
